_ Bio: Walk In The Park is a New Zealand based wood-working design studio, which produces both commercial and art objects by wood-turning as a key wood-working practice. Woo-Lam(Sam) Choi is a designer, artist and maker of the Walk In The Park, who has a background in wood-working and furniture design in Korea. Sam began learning wood-turning in 2016 and continues his practice-led exploration into functional and sculptural wood-turned objects, hand making each piece in his Auckland studio. Each work is homage to the variations of wood available in New Zealand. This tactile devotion extends into his desire to create products that are both beautiful and functional, blending the organic with the domestic.
