Reversible Coat by Hermit Xiu.
A reversible coat with a soft lapelled collar. The patchworked side has inseam right chest pocket and two large patch pocket. The muted side has adapted jet pockets on the left chest and body. Yoke and top contrast stitching details. Relaxed front raglan back set-in sleeve pattern. Horn button closure in the center front. Fabric is dyed with guava leaves, tea leaves, persimmon peal and iron. Hand painting is inspired by old drawing books on indigenous Taiwanese poeple (1744-1747) by Arthur William Hummel who was a American Christian missionary. One size fits all.

_ Care: Dry clean with any solvent except trichloroethylene. Hand wash with temperature below 30 degrees. Do not machine wash. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat in shade. Iron with low temperature.
_ Bio: Xiu is a maker based in Changhua County, Taiwan. Inspired by clothes that are of the 19th century in Taiwan, when a mixture of Japanese and United States cultures were in Taiwan. Xu interprets the garments with technical pattern making where pieces are often imperfect and dyed with traditional natural methods to allow for time and history to be embedded within each garment.
